Beach Front / Beach Vicinity Hotels
With miles and miles of beautiful, underdeveloped coast line, it's no surprise that virtually every beach town has a few hotels to service it. The eastern Caribbean coast offers a more remote and laid back atmosphere unless you're down south in Limon or the port city of Puerto Viejo where cruise ships doc regularly and tourism keeps a burgeoning hotel industry alive and well. On the west coast, the amazing Osa Peninsula is down south, said to be one of the most diverse ecologies on earth. Further north up the coast is Manual Antonio, a very popular beach town and it's close proximity to the state park of the same name. This area attracts thousands up on thousands of visitor annually and buoys the Bed & Breakfast hotel market there. Near the center of the west coast is Jaco Beach, on of the most popular beach towns in the country, due mainly to it's close proximity to San Jose and the airport, which, at one time, was the only one in the country. But since they built a 2nd international airport in Limon, the province of Guanacaste has been growing in leaps and bounds. Tourism has spiked favorably and continues to do so every year as beach towns get busier and infrastructure is upgraded to meet this relatively new demand. And the accommodations industry in the area is taking advantage. There are so many wonderful beach spots along the northern "Gold Coast" of Costa Rica that one could easily find the hotel that meats their budget and lifestyle and makes a profit.
